Extraordinary Weddings

Experience your wedding in Unity Temple. We welcome both civil and faith-based ceremonies and celebrations. You do not have to be a member of the Unity Temple Unitarian Universalist Congregation or Unitarian Universalist to wed in Unity Temple.

The Sanctuary

The Unity Temple Sanctuary seats up to 350 people, with no seat further than 45 feet from the pulpit. It is a unique and remarkable sacred space. The Sanctuary stands foursquare, where the congregation can see each other, and where all are invited to look at each other and embrace the community around them.

The Social Hall

After a ceremony in the sanctuary, you may also consider hosting a wedding reception in Unity House. The space features beautiful skylights, a working hearth, and a catering kitchen. Unity House and foyer can accommodate up to 175 for a sit-down dinner, 225 for a cocktail party, or can be used for an intimate reception. The two terraces can also be used for no additional cost. There are many ways to set up the space, from using one of the wings for a bar/dance floor, to a cocktail party with high boys or low boys, to renting a dance floor for the main room and setting up tables around it. You can also utilize the balcony space for a head table, a champagne toast, a DJ/band, or additional seating. Some people opt for passed hors d'oeuvres and special cocktails, others choose to do buffet-style or food stations, while others enjoy the traditional full-service seated dinner.

If you would like a Unitarian Universalist minister to perform your ceremony, we are happy to provide a list of recommended officiants who will collaborate with you to craft your ceremony.
