Groups & Activities
In addition to our Chalice Circles program, we offer additional groups and activities to provide members and friends the opportunity to gather in communities of interest. There's no better way to make friends and connections than joining a group.
Our Women's Connection offers opportunities for women to gather and connect. The Women's Retreat is held each February and serves as a relaxing, engaging and inspiring weekend for the women in our community to learn, connnect and renew their spirit. In addition, the Women's Connection gathers the women of our community for dinner three times each year, and sponsors other educational and social activities.
We have several men's groups and we hold an annual Men's Retreat in January of each year. In addition, our men gather as a large group for dinners several times each year. Our men's groups are closed groups, but some are open to new members and we occasionally form new groups when there is significant interest.
Knitting for Peace
Knitters meet on the second and fourth Saturdays of every month at 2 p.m. Output is donated to the University of Chicago Hospital, Project Linus, and others who we personally know are in need because of illness.
The Young Adult Group offers an opportunity for young adults (18-35) in our community to gather socially and to meet others with whom they might identify personally. The Young Adult Group holds outings occasionally throughout the year on Sunday morning following the second service.
For more information on any of these groups or if you are interested in starting one that currently does not exist, contact Tina Lewis, Member Director at email@example.com or 708/848-6225 x102.
