Parents and Caregivers as Sexuality Educators
UTUUUC has been chosen to field test a new component of the OWL (Our Whole Lives values based sexuality education) program, designed for parents and caregivers of children aged 12-14.
The program is designed to help participants talk about sexuality, accept youth for who they are, support youth in the developmental process, and listen with an open heart, all with the idea that parents are the primary sexuality educators for their children. The first session is set as wishes and hopes, and the group will choose among the other possible sessions: communication, sexual health, gender identity, sexual orientation, relationship constellations, decision making, consent education, social media, and pornography.
Led by Rev. Emily Gage. Please register at email@example.com. Open to members and friends of Unity Temple Unitarian Universalist Congregation (it is grounded in Unitarian Universalism). Six Tuesday evenings (not always consecutive): February 23, March 1, March 15, March 22, April 5, April 19 from 7:30-9:00 p.m. at United Lutheran.
