'Food for Change' Documentary Screening

Join the Sugar Beet and Chicagoland Co-ops for a screening of Food For Change, a documentary film about food co-ops. Food For Change is a feature-length documentary film focusing on food co-ops as a force for dynamic social and economic change in American culture. The movie tells the story of the cooperative movement in the U.S. through interviews, rare archival footage, and commentary by the filmmaker and social historians.

There are seven local co-ops that are forming and growing  in our area and this is one of our first collaboration events to celebrate the strength of this movement! The film will be followed by a panel discussion with co-op representatives.  The event is free and open to all.
