Join us at 3rd Saturday Coffeehouse Open Mic where we are delighted to welcome back renowned poet, educator, and author Haki Madhubuti. He is the founding director of Third World Press and a protégé of Gwendolyn Brooks. He is the author of many volumes of poetry and non-fiction, including Black Men: Obsolete, Single, Dangerous? that has sold more than a million copies. YellowBlack: The First Twenty-One Years of a Poet’s Life is a memoir of the people and places that were a part of his early life. His collected essays are being published this year.
