3rd Saturday Coffeehouse Open Mic is delighted to welcome back renowned poet, educator, and author Haki Madhubuti. He is the founding director of Third World Press and a protege of Gwendolyn Brooks. He is the author of many volumes of poetry and non-fiction, including Black Men: Obsolete, Single, Dangerous? that has sold more than a million copies. YellowBlack: The First Twenty-OneYears of a Poet’s Life is a memoir of the people and places that were a part of his early life. His collected essays are being published this year.
